How to Add Google Analytics Tracking to Links
If you use Google Analytics for tracking traffic on your website, you'll be happy to know that we simplified the process for adding UTM parameters to your email campaigns. With this feature, any time an email campaign sends traffic to your website, Google Analytics can track that campaign as the source of the traffic, giving your email campaigns credit for the visits they entice.
NOTE: This widget will not override any manually added Google UTM strings. If you have added UTM variables to a link through the link window, the GA Tracking feature will not change or add to anything you've done.
Under the required Title and Subject Line in the Compose step, you can check the box to Add Google Analytics UTM strings to your links.
A pop-up modal will appear that allows you to customize the Values that will be assigned to this email when inbound traffic results are displayed in your Google Analytics account. The Campaign value will default to the Title of your email. You can change these values if you so choose.
If you decide later that you want to change the campaign details, simply follow the same steps.
Once your message is deployed, any incoming website traffic from this campaign will be reported in your Google Analytics data.
