Paste in Code

Rather than have to choose a default HTML template, our code savvy clients can paste in the entire email's HTML, from mobile-responsive header information to a custom-coded compliant footer.

This option is available in two places:

  1. Code your own Emails in the emfluence Platform
  2. Code your own Emails using the API

 

#1 - From the Platform, choose the Paste in Code option on the Select Template step of composing an email.

 

Then, in the Compose step, you'll see that you're already in Source view. You can either edit or delete the rudimentary default code and replace it with your own.

 

 

#2 - You can also choose to code an email without using a template when creating emails from the API, making it even easier to compile and deploy emails through your emfluence account.

 

All of the rules (and by rules, we mean laws) that apply to building Email Templates from scratch apply to Emails without templates, too: You must include your physical mailing address and the system unsubscribe link, and/or verify that your email is a transactional email.
