Drag & Drop Editor Layouts

Layouts within the emfluence Drag & Drop Editor allow users to set basic structure to their email. You can drag a layour from the right Layout screen into any editable area in your template. This will insert the basic layout (single-column, two-column 50/50, two-column 70/30, two-column 30/70, and three-column) which you can then drag and drop Content elements inside the empty layout.

You can set settings for your Layout by clicking the layout and adjusting the defaults under the Settings tab. Here you will be able to apply a background color, adjust padding inside the Layout, and add a Border.

A few notes about Layouts:

• Layouts are only for structure. You cannot type directly into a layout, you must add an empty Text block in order to add written content or inserts a different element (such as an Image).
• Because Layouts exist behind your image and text elements, you do have the ability to easily add a background color directly to the Layout which will apply to evert element you drag inside it.
• You do not have to start with a layout. If you wish your can drag Content elements such as Text blocks, Buttons, and Images directly into your editable area.
• Pre-exisisting content, such as default template content will show up as a Text block.
