Editing an Image
In email marketing and in landing page creation, you always want to be sure that you use images in the exact size they should be. Rather than resizing as you insert the image, you can use the tools in the Image Library to create a permanent resized version of your image to use in your emails and landing pages. To start, go to the Image Library. You can get there either from the Image button in the Compose process or by going to Content and clicking Uploaded Files, which will launch in its own window.
The photo editor, which can be accessed in the Uploaded Files section, will allow you to make changes to images uploaded to your account. Clicking your kabob menu (the three dots at the bottom right of an image) will expand your menu options on a single file. In the menu you can Open your image (have it open in a new tab), Preview (see a preview of your image pop-up above your Uploaded Files), Download your image, Copy the URL of the image, Rename your image, Move your image, Copy Your Image, and Delete your image. NOTE: Renaming a file can cause URLs to break in existing templates and emails as well as moving the file to another location or deleting it.
In the editor you will be able to resize, crop, transform, and edit your image using the bottom menu.
To use Resize, click the Resize icon in the bottom of the photo editor, type in your new dimensions and click Apply. To Crop, click on the Crop icon at the bottom of the editor and either use one of the pre-selected boxes, or manually choose the dimensions you wish to crop, and click Apply.
Once you have made a change, make sure to click the apply button. If you wish to undo your change you can click the cancel button in the bottom menu, or if you need to remove a change after it has been applied you can use the back arrow in the top menu of the editor. The layers icon in the top menu will allow you to see and edit the added layers to your image.
You can add layers such as Text, Shapes, Stickers, and Frames on top of your image. Follow the menu to choose and edit your choices. To edit the size of your text element or added element or sticker, drag the corners of the element to grow or shrink it.
When saving an edited image you will be given the choice to save as a new image or overwrite the existing image. If your original images is already in the email or landing page prior to making your changes, it is possible your browser may cache the original image, even after your changes. Because of this, we always suggest saving as a new image.
