Using Layouts

The Layouts function of the editor allows you to create a beautifully formatted email in a matter of minutes, without the need of a programmer or designer.  Please note that every template in the emfluence Marketing Platform is designed and programmed to fit each user's specific marketing needs.  You may have to adjust the width of tables or images if a specific layout doesn't fit your template's dimensions exactly.  However, table widths are not predefined in layouts, so adjustments will likely be minor.  Please contact support@emfluence.com if you have questions about inserting a layout into an email.

Start by clicking on the Layouts button in the top row of the editor:

You'll see a modal popup that contains 15 pre-designed layouts for you to choose from:

Each thumbnail provides a preview of the layout, i.e. columns, tables, images, title text, etc.  If there's already default content in your message, you can check the "Replace actual contents" button to replace the message's current content.  Click on a layout to insert it into your email.

If the layout contains images, they will display the size so that you can edit your images to fit the layout.

To replace an image, double click on the default image and click on Browse Server to select a new image:

Select the image that you want to use, and click Ok to insert it into your message.  (For more information on inserting images in messages, click here).

To replace the title text or lorem ipsum text in the layout, simply highlight the text you want to replace, and paste or type in your new text.  Remember- don't ever paste directly from Word!  Paste text straight from Notepad, or use one of the paste functions in the editor.

All the content in layouts is completely editable, so you can add, remove, or change content as it fits your needs!  You may add more than one layout to an email.
