System Links

You can insert an emfluence System Link by clicking the link icon in the editor  and then choosing "System Links" from the dropdown.There are four types of system links you can choose from: Unsubscribe, Forward To Friend, View As Webpage, and Share.

View as a Webpage

Creating a web-hosted version of your email allows you to serve up your message to users that may not otherwise be able to see your content the way that it was intended. It’s also a great way to capture views from subscribers that don’t load images.  Inserting a view as webpage link is as easy as a few clicks. Type and format the text you’d like to use as your link. Select the text and then click the icon. Choose System Links in the top dropdown and View as a Webpage from the secondary dropdown. The link is now live in your email.

When you hover over the link in the Preview step, you’ll see the View As a Webpage in inserted. NOTE: the View as Webpage link will display a "Preview" page when clicked in a message draft or Proof.

When your contacts receive your message, they can click the link to pull up the web version in a browser.  The web version of your email will remain active. You can continue to direct people to the page, for example, from an archive of past messages.

Unsubscribe

Your template will have an unsubscribe link in the footer, but if you need to add a secondary unsbscribe link in your email you can do so by inserting it the same way as a View as a Webpage link and choosing Unsubscribe. NOTE: If you account uses a custom preferences/unsubscribe page separate from the default page, you will want to include that link rather than the default.

NOTE: The unsubscribe will not work in your preview. It requires a contact ID. To test the link, you can send yourself a proof in the preview step.
 

Forward to a Friend

A Forward to a Friend link can be inserted by the same process. Choose it from under the "System Links" dropdown and insert it into your content.
