API
Occasionally you may receive a message from the emfluence Marketing Platform that your scheduled social media message failed to post. At the very bottom of the email there will be Error Details which may give you a clue as to why the posting failed.
Reverify Social Media Accounts
From time to time, based on the age of your cookie, or updates by either the social media provider or emfluence, a social media account may need be reverified in the system. Also, if you change permissions for users on the page you have connected, you may to to reverify to create a new cookie.
If you receive an alert with the words "OAuth Exception" in the error details, it's likely you just need to reverify your social media account in the platform to solve the problem. You will have to log in to the account to reverify.
You may also see this warning when creating a new social message. If so, click on the Verify Account link and follow the steps to confirm access.
Check User Permissions
Double-check the individual accounts in question to make sure that the user are is still listed under the Assigned Users (rather than the column of Available Users) for each account they need to post from.
Duplicate Content
If you are verified and have the right permission and still aren't able to post you'll want to check to see that you aren't repeatedly reposting the exact same content (which Facebook or Twitter might view as spam and refuse to post). Try varying your text, photos, and links, or, if you know you are going to repost similar entries over a short period of time, you may insert some unrelated content between them to break-up the block of similar content.
API
Occasionally Twitter or Fackebook's API may go down. There's nothing we can do to forsee or prevent this from happening. If you are unlucky enough to have a post scheduled when this occurs, you will want to wait 5-10 few minutes and try posting your message again.
