Survey Skip Logic

Survey Skip Logic allows you to tailor specific responses to change what page a survey-taker will see next. This allows some responders to skip ahead and ignore pages and questions that may not apply to them. Skip Logic can only be used on certain types of questions in the emfluence Marketing Platform: Multiple Choice (Single Answer), Rating Scale (with a single row), and Matrix (with a single row). To avoid any Skip Logic conflicts, no more than one question on a page can contain Skip Logic.

Adding Skip Logic

After creating and saving your question you will see a button available to add Survey Logic.

In the modal you will be able to apply Skip Logic to all responses. Any response you leave blank and don't add specific logic will proceed naturally to the next question in the survey.

If you attempt to edit a question with Survey Logic applied, you will receive a warning. To fully edit the question, you will need to remove Skip Logic from the question prior to making your changes. It's also important to note that Skip Logic can only be applied forward to pages later in the survey. If you rearrange your questions in such a way where the Skip Logic would move the survey-taker backwards, you will receive a warning from the system. NOTE: When using Skip Logic we suggest not numbering your questions as the questions will not be renumbered for those skipping forward.
