Signing Up for the Yahoo Feedback Loop
Feedback Loops allow us to keep track of when your recipients hit the spam button on one of your emails and create a spam complaint to their email provider. emfluence signs you up to several Feedback Loops by default through your sending IP Address. However, Yahoo requires a couple of additional steps to sign-up for their loop.
Yahoo! requires you to add a TXT record to your domain to start the process. You can do this when you also add the necessary DKIM records. Reach out to support@emfluence.com with your domain to get your record. Because the YFL records are domain specific, emfluence will need to create one for you (and if you have more than one domain the codes will be different). After sending us the domain we will create a key for you. Take that key and create a TXT record using that key as the value of the record and a Name value that points to the root of your domain. This is usually accomplished with @ or the domain name (however, it might need to be different depending on your DNS setup). Once it's up and passing let emfluence know and we will complete the sign up for you. Depending on your DNS, it might not update immediately. We will reach back out if we see an issue.
Name: (Should point to the root domain)
Value: You will use the key sent from emfluence. Do not attempt to use the value of one domain for a different domain.
Using Google's Dig Tool (or another service of your choice), you should be able to check to see the record passing. See the example below:
