Using Embed Images
NOTE: This feature is disabled in accounts by default. If you want this feature added to your account, please contact support@emfluence.com. The use of embed images allows you to have emfluence images embedded in the email rather than linked. While this allows the images to load in most inboxes without someone downloading them, you will lose view metrics for emails using embedded images. Also, by embedding images, the HTML size of your email can become much larger (especially embeded gifs) so if you plan to use this feature keep an eye on the size of your email as inboxes won't accept or deliver emails over a certain size (each have their own limits). Using embed images only applies to manual email sends. You can not embed images on automated or transactional emails.
Embedding images applies to all images in an email (you cannot choose to only embed a single image). Also, not all images can be embedded. Embedding only works for png, gif, and jpg/jpeg formats Also, images added from a content block through a content variable cannot be embedded (since they are inserted afterwards) and images referenced in the CSS of your email will also not embed. NOTE: The tracking image cannot be embedded, as it must be downloaded naturally to count views. If you wish to remove it on an email, you can disable view tracking.
To embed your images in an email, click the Embed Images button in the compose window. In the pop-up, use the slider to turn on to enable embed images.
Embedding images increases the file size of your email making it less likely to be delivered into inboxes. By choosing to embed images you may see a warning on the file size of your email that it won't be deliverable to some inboxes. If your file size is larger than the max allowed, your warning will become an error and you will be forced to make changes prior to saving the email.
Once you save your draft with embed images enabled, you will see warnings to remind you. These will appear both on the compose step of the stepper as well as the the final check on the send step. Like other warnings, these can accepted to allow your email to send.
