Exit Conditions

An exit condition allows you to automatically remove contacts from your workflow who meet predefined criteria. Once meeting that condition, a contact will be removed from the workflow prior to being added to an email or decision, prior to a decision being processed, and prior to an email being sent. Once a contact meets the criteria on an exit condition, they are removed from the entirety of the workflow no matter which step they were on at the time of their removal.

When creating or editing a workflow, you can enable exit conditions by clicking the button near the top of you workflow. NOTE: Although you can see the logic of an exit decision on published workflow, to edit it you must edit the workflow. The criteria for creating an exit condition is similar to that in Query Builder or when using a custom decision. Create the logic you want to pull contacts out of the workflow. Contacts removed by an exit condition will be available in a list in the workflow. Optionally, you can also choose to add them to a group (allowing you to check the number of contacts removed without going into the workflow exit conditions).

When clicking on an exit condition on a published workflow you will be taken to the Contacts Log which will record when contacts were removed from the condition. You will also be able to see, but not edit, your exit condition criteria, and if you have a group associated with your condition you will find that under the group tab.
