Anchor Links

Anchor links help your readers move easily within your email. For example, you can use anchor links to create a table of contents that links your readers to various articles within your email. There are two stesps. First you need to create Anchors, and second you need to add in links back to your anchored text.

First, place the cursor in the content area where you want the anchor link to take the reader to.  Think of it like a bookmark you want the reader to be able to jump to.  Then click on the anchor icon on the editor tool bar. When the pop-up window appears, type a name for your anchor, for example Article1. Do not use any spaces or special characters and be sure to use unique names for each anchor you create. Then click OK.

Next, create the link to your anchor by selecting text or an image, for example an item in your Table of Contents. Then click the Link icon and choose Link to anchor in the text from the Link Type dropdown. Select the Anchor Name and Element ID and click OK to create your link.

Your anchor link is now in place.  Follow these same steps to add any additional anchor links to your message. Make sure to test your Anchor Links in an email Proof (as some browsers may disable this functionality in the Preview step) to be sure they take your reader to the right spot.
