Optional Syncs for Dynamics

After you have completed Part One and Part Two, there are additions you can make to your emfluence Dynamics Integration. The integration will function without these set-up, so if you don't wish to connect any of the following you can proceed to turning on your sync.

Activity Sync Settings

You have the ability to sync emfluence activities to your CRM. Examples of these are every time a contact is sent an email, views an email, views a landing page, completes a survey, etc. You can choose to sync all or none of the activities available. Because of the size this data may entail, you may not necessarily want all activities.

Group Mapping

Group Mapping allows for contacts in Marketing Lists within Dynamics to be added to specific emfluence Groups. Under Entity Sync Settings, you can add Group Mapping. To connect, choose your Marketing List and emfluence Group from the dropdowns just as you did to map your fields. NOTE: You cannot add/edit group mapping or sync settings while your sync is running.

Page Responses

If you want an emfluence Landing Page form to feed into Dynamics you can set it to also feed Dynamics on the Response page of your Landing Page. Then you will need to manage Landing Page Syncs under your integration. On any Landing Page you want to sync to Dynamics, Process Responses must be set to save to Platform and Dynamics. You must also specify a specific entity (it must already be mapped to show up on the list) and choose from one of the two options to either always create a new Dynamics record or first attempt to match a current Dynamics record by email address. NOTE: If you choose to try and match an existing record, the oldest Dynamics record will be chosen.

Any pages where you have this set will show up in your Dynamics Integration settings.

You can enable these landing pages to begin syncing by turning them on under the Integration Status.

emfluence Contact UI

You can embed the Client Detail Page within your Dynamics environment by clicking the Embed emfluence in Dynamics button under emfluence Contact UI. NOTE: Because the emfluence content is iframed into your page you do have to be logged into emfluence in the same browser for the data to be seen in Dynamics.

Clicking to Embed emfluence in Dynamics will embed emfluence contact UI within your Dynamics. Click continue to find options about where you want it embedded.

After clicking Continue, and then agreeing to create the resource within Dynamics, you will then be given a choice of what entity form you wish to add the contact UI to. For each that you choose to add, you will need to decide on the position of the tab. NOTE: There is no simple one-click uninstall option. Once it is added to Dynamics it would have to be removed within Dynamics Settings.

Click continue to add to Dynamics.

Once active, this will create an emfluence tab within Dynamics on a Contact (or Lead, if that's what you are mapping) record. When opening a Contact in Dynamics this tab will load the contacts detail panel for that contact from emfluence.
