Part One: Connecting emfluence with Dynamics

The emfluence Dynamics integration will allow you to connect data from your Microsoft Dynamics CRM with the emfluence Marketing Platform.

What you will need to get started:

  • Access to your emfluence Platform account
  • Access to your Microsoft Dynamics account with System Administrator privileges
  • The Dynamics Web API URL for your Microsoft Dynamics Environment.
  • Your Azure Tenant ID
  • Consent from your Azure Administrator

Step 1

Go into the Options menu of the emfluence Marketing Platform set-up your Dynamics integration. Direct link here: https://emailer.emfluence.com/options/dynamics/

Paste in your Dynamics Web API URL.This should be the URL of you Dynamics Instance. NOTE: This should end in dynamics.com/ (if there is more after the URL that can be removed).

Next, paste in your Azure Tenant ID. NOTE: You will need access and proper credentials for Azure to find the ID.

In emfluence, after pasting in both URLs, click Continue.

Step 2

You will need to have an Azure Administrator grant consent to allow the connection to be made. If you are an Azure Administrator you can finish this step on your own, if not you will need to take the URL provided by emfluence and give it to your Azure Administrator to complete.

The Azure Administrator will follow the link and must choose to Accept Permission for emfluence’s CRM integration:

After doing so they should receive a success message. If you receive an error message, reach out to emfluence at support@emfluence.com

Once consent has been given, back in emfluence click the Continue button.

Step 3

You will also need to allow emfluence to connect to Dataverse. Go to the Power Platform admin center https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/ and create an application user.

Choose Setup app user. You will need to connect emfluence to the app user. Type emfluence or the application ID 8f500a49-e381-47d7-9621-cd55e6417a77. The app should appear below. Select it.

Select your business unit from the choices available.

And, under Security roles, select System Administrator and Save.

Confirm that your user is active. Then, back in emfluence, click Continue.

Step Four

If you have completed the previous steps all you should need to do is click Save.
